Earlier this week, the Useless Island 2: Day One Version leaked on Amazon, exhibiting a Lenny Kravitz-like warrior on the field cowl. So, it’s solely becoming that Gamescom 2022 ended with two trailers (cinematic and gameplay) for the long-overdue zombie-slaying sequel.
We observe a chiseled survivor named Jacob as he leaves the protection of his (bloodied) rental and ventures right into a Californian hellscape swarming with undead. He kills a number of adversaries with an empty rifle, jutting it by their rotten our bodies and smashing their heads in opposition to the pavement with its picket butt.
The gameplay trailer exhibits scenic seashores, forsaken suburbs, cratered metropolis streets, and still-lit carnivals. In what is likely one of the most graphic clips I’ve ever seen at a recreation present, we watch because the player-character clobbers zombies with blunt objects, jump-kicks adversaries off roofs (parkour mechanics?), and shoots gasoline tanks to engulf hordes in flames.
Useless Island 2 is a first-person motion RPG with six playable characters. And in response to a designer who appeared onstage, the gory romp has an irreverent, pulpy tone and gameplay that’s all about “experimenting along with your most well-liked zombie-slaying strategies.”
Useless Island 2 punches and kicks its means onto PlayStation 5, Xbox Sequence X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 3.
