Sonic Workforce boss and Shadow the Hedgehog‘s creator, Takashi Iizuka, has revealed in an interview that he’s fed up with folks evaluating Shadow to Dragon Ball’s darkish hero, Vegeta. Talking to the location Iizuka knowledgeable them that Shadow the Hedgehog is his favorite Sonic character as a result of “tragic backstory” behind him which makes the controversial character each “attention-grabbing and compelling.” The interview then requested Iizuka if Sonic followers have interpreted Shadow another way through the years than how he initially anticipated or supposed? Right here’s he needed to say:
“So sure, there are some ways in which folks interpret Shadow that aren’t how the workforce is intending,” Iizuka begins. I believe the most important one, for those who look on-line, everybody’s like, ‘Oh, that is Dragon Ball Vegeta.’”
“Vegeta actually begins out as an enemy after which later turns into a good friend and an ally and sort of, like, fights for justice and attempting to save lots of the world and whatnot. Shadow just isn’t like that. I by no means need him to be like that. Shadow is doing his personal factor, he’s not buddies with Sonic, and he’s gonna go off and, you already know, do no matter he feels is appropriate or proper, or what he must do. And it’s not like, ‘Effectively, okay, we was once enemies, however we’re buddies now. Let’s save the world.’ He’s not that sort of character, and [I don’t] need him to be that sort of character.
“So when persons are at all times on-line saying, ‘Oh, it’s Vegeta, it’s Vegeta,’ it’s like, it’s not Vegeta,” he laughs.
